Poolhouse in ‘s Gravenwezel

“Three parts for one whole”

This project in ‘s Gravenwezel is one of the largest and most unique challenges Heritage Buildings has ever realized for a pool house. The realization encompasses much more than just a pool house. The whole consists of three full-fledged oak garden constructions that connect seamlessly and are connected to each other. Each volume has custom specific functions. Together with the swimming pool and the swimming pond – these are in line with each other – the pool house forms a large cross.

Hinge function

The eye-catcher of this huge pool house is the central seating area. This covered terrace literally forms the hinge function between the swimming area and the other two closed buildings. Every element of the oak structures and the garden has been fully thought out. The design of this project took shape through the intensive collaboration between the landscape architect and Heritage Buildings.

Central seating area with thatched roof

The seating area under a covered terrace offers the perfect overview of both the swimming pond and the swimming pool. The roof – made of reed – was made higher than the tiled roofs of the two side buildings, so that the different oak volumes come into their own. This middle building rightly draws all the attention to itself. Under this covered terrace – of course equipped with infrared radiant heaters – it is wonderful to stay in all weather conditions.

Side buildings with antique roof tiles

The middle part is flanked by two beautiful closed oak garden buildings, each equipped with antique roof tiles for an authentic look. The exterior planking of these side buildings is finished in a beautiful black color, which emphasizes the three different volumes.

Unique party space

The building on the left – fitted with large steel sliding windows – has been set up as a party space. Both in winter – with closed windows – and in summer, this is the ideal space to receive family and friends. The interior space is equipped and finished with all bar and party facilities that many a restaurant would envy. There is also direct access to this party room from the seating area. The large windows were made of black steel profiles, which gives the whole an extremely refined look.

Wellness center for summer and winter

A building with wellness facilities was created and furnished on the other side of the seating area. In between swimming and resting parties, this oak outbuilding offers all the facilities to relax. Sauna and jaccuzzi can be wonderfully varied with each other. This wellness area can also be used perfectly in winter.
