Restoration of the historic building in Bruges

Eight years ago, architect Glenn Reynaert from Diksmuide was commissioned to restore an exclusive historic building located in the heart of Bruges’ city center. This marked an important milestone for the architectural office that was established in 2007.

Architect Glenn Reynaert provided in his plans the possibility to change the building that currently has an office function, subject to adaptations to a residential destination, depending on the wishes of the owner.

The current house dates from 1777. The principal was the Arents-Van der Plancke noble family. The bishop’s palace used to be on this spot.

In 2008 the client asked architect Glenn Reynaert to restore the listed mansion with garden on a total surface of 1,113 m2 to its original proportions and condition. The building had undergone various changes over time.
