Marco Daverveld

Marco Daverveld is specialized in making interior designs. The projects range from renovation to new construction, and from attic room to detached villa. A high level of finish and well-considered choices characterize his designs. After his education at HTS architecture, Marco took up an interior architecture course in Italy. Since 1998 he has his own architectural firm, called DAVERVELD Designers.

“To this day, that combination of training has provided me with many benefits,” said interior architect Marco Daverveld. “More and more often I am the pivot in the entire construction process, in which many disciplines are involved. Aesthetic and technical can sometimes conflict with each other, but I see the challenge mainly in connecting them. Looking for solutions outside the known frameworks, coming up with variants that lead to added value, is also a characteristic of my working method.

Trust
Almost all my clients want to come to me through word-of-mouth advertising, a working method that catches on with my vision. My work is therefore largely a matter of trust. An interaction of wishes and (im)possibilities, of weighing and recording. I like to embark on this process together with my client, so that it really becomes their own.

Make choices
The hardest part of deciding what to look like is making choices. If you opt for a style, then choices for floor finishes, doors, stairs, lighting, kitchen, bathroom, sanitary and a lot of influence on each other. What I always start with is making a good floor plan and layout. The practical layout and the walking lines thus become an indispensable basis for any interior.”

Selecting the right construction partners is an important part of this. After that, the realization phase can begin and the plans are realised!
