The story of Quooker began in 1970. Rotterdam-based Henri Peteri was working at Unilever when he had an inspiration that would change his life forever. It was during a presentation on instant soup. ‘And that requires water that has to be on the stove for five minutes?’ thought Peteri, ‘What madness! Why doesn’t boiled water come out of the faucet in our homes!’ Once home, Peteri dove into the basement to develop a prototype of the world’s first boiling water faucet. In 1992, the first Quooker (“quick cooker”) was introduced in the Netherlands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
