Om dit gebouw nieuw leven in te blazen, besloot de stad Antwerpen, samen met partners zoals de Universiteit Antwerpen en imec, hier <strong>The Beacon<\/strong> te ontwikkelen, gelegen op het kruispunt tussen de stad en de haven.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thebeacon.eu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Beacon<\/a> is een business- en innovatiehub die werkruimtes biedt aan toonaangevende bedrijven in het Internet of Things (IoT), vari\u00ebrend van technologische corporates tot innovatieve startups en scale-ups. Toponderzoekers ontwikkelen er logistieke en smart city producten en merken. Sinds de opening in september 2018 heeft The Beacon Antwerpen op de wereldkaart gezet als de &#8216;Capital of Things&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hoog.design\/office\/professionals\/captif-office-architects\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CAPTIF Office Architects<\/a> werd verantwoordelijk gesteld voor het concept en ontwerp van deze ambitieuze inrichting. Sinds de succesvolle opening wordt The Beacon in Google-recensies beschreven als een geweldige plek om te
