Paul Brant Williger has more than 30 years of experience in custom residential architecture. He earned his degree from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture and serves on the board of the Institute of Classical Architecture and Art (ICAA).
Before graduating from Columbia, he completed a bachelor’s degree in architecture at the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana, where he also had the opportunity to study architecture in Versailles, France. It was while working for Robert AM Stern, one of his professors, during and after his studies at Columbia that Paul was introduced to traditional residential architecture.
Six years later, when he arrived in California, he was put in charge of several projects that he completed in collaboration with other firms. Until 2013, Paul served for more than ten years as a director at Appleton & Associates, leading his own projects from that office. Eventually, starting his own studio and taking his clients with him became the natural next step, and he made that transition successfully in 2013.
He began with half a dozen major custom residential projects in Woodside, Laguna Beach, and Beverly Hills, and has since expanded to take on additional projects in Los Angeles, Montecito, and Malibu. Paul is also considering future projects in Texas, Montana, and Shanghai.
