Located in the heart of Brussels, near the Sonian Forest, Residence VF has been completely renovated to meet the architectural program of the new owners, family and professional life to live together. The workspaces had to be able to enable creation, the liberation of the mind while creating a bubble that promotes concentration and rigor in everyone’s work.

Material choices played a major role in the renovation; they had to both harmonize with the original of the house and create a contemporary family cocoon. Rounded shapes for sweet living, a choice of subtle colors to brighten the space, natural materials like marble and wood to dress up the different rooms of the house. So many thoughtful decisions to bring architectural continuity throughout the project.

The central staircase is covered with a carpet in shades of gold, contrasting with the black of the existing staircase, the central skylight bathes the entire house in natural light. The friendly and functional kitchen, with the island completely covered in marble, brings family and friends together. Custom-made joinery adorns all parts of the house. So many prejudices that make this house an architectural design that perfectly reflects the work of the architectural firm Studio P Architects.
