In the 1930s villa, they found their dream home. The buyers engaged Art-Line Interior Design of Velp to modernize the interior. Contemporary, with lots of light. Simplicity while maintaining original elements such as the stained glass windows, was their desire in this regard. An article in an interior design magazine made it imperative that the new owners wanted the stylish black door hardware from Intersteel’s Living Black series applied to their home. This completely fit their image of a bright, modern interior with trendy touches. Maarten ter Horst, account manager at Intersteel, says, “We helped Art-Line as much as possible by surveying the house on location. This allowed us to come up with a clear and complete proposal right away.”

Beige tones were replaced with high-gloss white with black accents and detailing of the woodwork. The colors steel gray and olive bronze served as accents for wallpaper, rugs and furniture, among other things.
