Collaboration

Collaboration is all about trust; together you get to the core. He imposes nothing on his clients. Instead, he guides them toward their end goal, a goal they do not yet know and discover along the way. He helps with that. In a way, he coaches the client. Together, we search for the client’s personal style, which I then translate into contemporary living.

Direction

He keeps a firm grip on the overall structure. The incidence of light, spatial planning, the lighting plan for the evening, and major interventions such as the kitchen, bathrooms, large custom cabinetry or sofa. The smaller the details become, the more personal they often are. That varies from project to project. Sometimes people enjoy selecting the accessories together too; others prefer to handle that part themselves. Sometimes he shows examples, makes sketches, or goes shopping with the client.

Working method

His approach is just as straightforward: about three weeks after the first meeting, he has a preliminary design ready. He discusses this with the client and then adjusts it in detail. He develops the plan so contractors can begin calculating their quotations. He regularly works with a network of experienced specialists: project managers, architectural draftspeople and structural engineers.

When needed, he forms a construction team.
