Bart van Wijk

My name is Bart van Wijk. Interior and exterior designer, product designer and artist. My main activity is currently interior architecture, but I am working hard to also break through as an artist and product designer.

As a designer, I “model” with architecture. The space, exciting architecture, axis lines and magnificent views, architecture fused with millimetre-precise customisation, the use of materials and colours and the lighting plan ensure a unique and exciting whole. Due to my training as a designer, I also design custom-made furniture and lighting fixtures.

Everything continues in the same style. Unlike many of my competitors, I save the “style” for last and I do not follow trends, I prefer to avoid them. My own identity and that of my clients ensure a special and “out of the ordinary” result every time.

20 years ago, I started my own company and established partnerships with architects, contractors, interior construction companies, lighting specialists, builders and many others, so that the most special plans can be technically implemented and realised.

One of my most recent houses (the new villa Noort Brabant) was designated by Homify International as one of the most beautiful houses in the Netherlands. A housing professional from the EDHA Interieur agency in Amsterdam said, when he saw the project “Renovation of a canal house in Amsterdam”: “This interior should never be demolished again”. Everything in this interior was designed custom-made, down to the millimetre. My inspiration for the kitchen was two Ipods and a glass extractor hood cover from a Ferrari.
