Marcel de Ruiter

Marcel de Ruiter is an independent architect based in the fortified city of Gorinchem since 2004. With a primary focus on villas and country houses, a large number of projects have been completed throughout the Netherlands. With the fusion of a contemporary design and use of traditional materials, this creates a very distinct look and allure.

The realizations are characterized by contemporary and exciting geometry where the traditional look of a thatched roof contrasts with the modern base. Combined with the strong focus on light, sightlines and experience of space, this forms the core of the realizations; creating heritage.
