The 90-centimeter-wide unit offers unprecedented precision, fast and flexible cooking with low energy consumption, combined with integrated ventilation. By removing the worry of clean air, the private chef can concentrate on creating dishes and entertaining his or her guests. Frameless and flat, the expansive slab of black glass fits seamlessly into the modern kitchen with one distinct design difference: the black control knobs. Gaggenau pioneered countertop extraction in Europe in 1976 and has continued to innovate equipment that provides whisper-quiet ventilation systems to discreetly purify air ever since.

The integrated ventilation system of this 400 series flex induction cooktop can be set to automatic so that the air is purified when the cooktop is turned on. Available in recirculation or exhaust air, the cooktop is able to adjust its own power level based on perceived vapors in the room. Even after the cooktop is turned off. Energy-efficient, powerful motors work together with airflow channels to ensure minimal volume of both noise and space, but with maximum effect: odors are removed during air recirculation thanks to activated carbon filters. All this allows the private chef to concentrate on creating dishes, not purifying the air.

The cooktop features expandable cooking zones that use ingenious flexinduction technology, allowing you to cook like a professional. The cooking zones can be easily joined for using larger pans up to 30 cm wide or accessories such as a teppanyaki. All this flexibility does not compromise power. The booster function temporarily increases this from 3,300 watts to 3,700 watts for truly scorching heat. There is a keep-warm function and a roasting sensor that retains even heat, reducing the risk of burning.

For seamless integration into the worktop, the 90-cm cooktop is frameless and can be installed flush into the surface. The black glass houses dark air intakes, unobtrusive even when in use. The superior and professional front control buttons are also available in black. The buttons are both precise and intuitive; this allows the private chef to always have control over the appliance.

The flex induction cooktop with integrated ventilation system is equipped with Home Connect, allowing the private chef to control the appliance online. The integration of Home Connect ensures that the device always remains central to the increasingly digital home.
