B-FOUR
Essence and purity of form serve modern architecture, where proper proportions replace decoration. To minimize the visual impact of the large building, the architect cleverly utilized the terrain dimensions by positioning the structure one meter below street level, allowing the surrounding vegetation to take center stage. The design focuses entirely on the sense of “horizontality,” evident in the façade, composed of successive grey clay stones interspersed with loggias.
The seemingly unfavorable orientation was transformed into an advantage, creating various types of green spaces—some open, others enclosed—that maintain a constant connection with the garden. The open floor plan allows the living spaces to flow seamlessly into the greenery, while the kitchen offers a cozy and sheltered ambiance. The functional intimacy of this space is enhanced by the concrete volume at the rear, where a fireplace connects to the living room. Alongside the three dominant materials in the architecture (cement, wood, and glass), light plays a crucial role.
Architect Bruno Erpicum’s skilled hand also extended to the choice of faucets for his home: the OPUS collection, entirely crafted from stainless steel with a satin finish. The name OPUS, derived from the Latin word “Opera,” represents timeless and iconic forms. This collection is designed to embody the essence of design concepts. Its circular design symbolizes both purity and the water that flows from it. OPUS reduces the faucet to its core, making it one of CEA’s most iconic collections.
