In a cozy village in the Noorderkempen there is a modern house with a Japanese-inspired garden. A sleek swimming pond was integrated into this with a minimalist edge finish. There is nothing to suggest that the swimming pond is located in the front garden. Surrounded by high hedges, the owners can enjoy the natural water undisturbed. That’s what a natural swimming pond is all about; swimming in healthy, soft and odorless water. This water feature looks beautiful all year round and you jump in at the first rays of the sun. The swimming area measures 14m x 5m x 1.6m. An EPDM rubber foil was glued to the masonry tub. This swimming pond was provided with a lounge area on the side of the wooden terrace at a depth of 60 cm. Then we see a staircase. The staircase and lounge area as well as stepping stones were made from bluestone. The stepping stones form the connection between the swamp and the swimming area.
