Brick Villa Heiloo
Tradition and craftsmanship are reflected in the refined details of “Brick Villa”. The horizontal concrete lines refer to the traditional architecture of the Amsterdam School style. The sustainable materials used have proven themselves in recent centuries. From the open road, the villa appears closed and introverted. On the other hand, the sun shines far into the house through the large windows. Behind the south and west facade is the large living space of the family. The spacious living space and kitchen are adjacent to the multiple terraces and the garden. The main room consists of the bed and bathrooms and in the basement there is a laundry room, garage and playroom for the children. Behind the entrance is the hall with the central staircase. This space serves as an intermediate space between the private space and living space. The open character provides a lot of light everywhere in the house and creates long sightlines. The custom-made furniture, the floor and stairs are made of dark oak. Every wall and ceiling is plastered, creating a sculptural unity.
