City Residence
The starting point was an old 1930s row house, of which only the facade and the odd cornice ceiling remained intact. Osiris Hertman: “You should never be afraid to be rigorous in what you do.” The interior includes, for example, a large pendant lamp and a solid steel sideboard (both designs by Osiris Hertman) and extra-large floor tiles of more than a meter per tile.
A bold statement, the kitchen is finished in black marble that extends to the wall. The custom-made bed practically fills the entire room. In the bathroom, the wall-to-wall maple tree trunk is finished with eight coats of epoxy. A stone rock is placed on top of this as a sink. For extra see-through, the wall in the bathroom is made entirely of glass. The result is a completely renovated and spacious home.
