Coach House – The Hague
This special house (former coach house) of approximately 180M2 with idyllic garden is located in a beautiful location in the Archipel neighborhood. The former carriage house dates from the 19th century. The property has been completely renovated into a modern townhouse which was developed as a non-standard Turn-key project.
The staircase is literally and figuratively the centerpiece of the home. The interior is the result of a continuous search for spatial design.
The stair railing design was custom made and designed as a central eye-catcher of the home. The first floor is divided into three spaces that flow into each other. The custom designed luxury living kitchen combined with the full-width sliding doors that can be opened creates a smooth transition between inside and outside. The dining room whose kitchen cabinets serve as a clever divider and the fireplace that connects back to the kitchen from the sitting area through the beautiful sight lines. Still provides an intimate space but retains the open-loft feel.
The design of the doors are inspired by Japanese design: balance, simple lines, pure materials, ceramics and wool as the basis for a serene Japanese interior.
