For the interior of this special penthouse, we were given complete carte blanche by the client. However, he did have two wishes: it had to radiate colorful comfort and everything had to be large yet cozy. The fact that the building in which the penthouse is located is also a design of ours made it easier to fulfill the client’s wishes to perfection.

Robust and slender

A long corridor from which the bedrooms, bathrooms are located, leads to the high open living space. Here the tall glass door DROOM stands out, incorporating the contours of South Africa. In the living room, colorful comfort is evident in the form of the spacious sitting area around the tall fireplace with a custom-made steel surround. The sturdy coffee tables BALK by ZOEN go well with the very spacious sofa of Italian manufacture. Furthermore, slender furniture such as the NOOT sideboard, GRAAN drinks cabinet and the RIET room divider provide the necessary airy counterbalance in the interior.

Brown café

For the kitchen, the client had a special wish: it had to have the atmosphere of a cozy brown café. Therefore, we chose dark oak, copper and natural stone as materials. Also for this reason, we made not only a breakfast bar, but also a niche for a dining area around bar table STELT. The generous dimensions mean that even a professional chef can create a delicious dinner here on festive occasions. All necessary appliances are located behind fully slide-away cabinet doors.

Wellness and gym

The top floor houses an open, bright guest room with kitchen and a large, sheltered sun terrace. Also located here are a spa bathroom with generous freestanding tub and sauna as well as a large gym overlooking the living room downstairs.

Except for a few personal belongings, everything in this penthouse was designed and chosen for ENZO: from the ZOEN furniture and marble of the bathrooms to the bedding and crockery. Yet the apartment became very personal through color, open spaces, and customization. And as a result, it has become a soothing home base in the client’s hectic life.
