Groenregie, in collaboration with landscape architect Noël van Mierlo, has realized this large garden with swimming pond in a recently renovated house in rural Nuenen. The design of this garden with swimming pond in Nuenen, as well as the chosen materials and plant species, connect very nicely with the sleek, white finished villa.

An eye-catcher in this garden is the natural swimming pond, which is surrounded by many pond plants, which together with a filter system ensure a clear swimming area. The large pond has an organic shape, while the swimming area in the center of the pond has a rectangular shape. The swimming pond is accessible to swimming enthusiasts from a large 20 m² deck with a stainless steel bathing ladder. We have mounted the deck on hardwood foundation piles. The top consists of heavy planed hardwood deck boards measuring 3.8 x 20 cm.

In the driveway are extra large gray concrete tiles from the brand Schellevis. These tiles have a size of 200 x 100 cm and are 10 cm thick. Each tile weighs approx. 470 kg. Each of them is placed in a leveled sand bed with a special vacuum unit on a heavy crane. These tiles are also used on the terrace in the backyard, adjacent to the house. Step tiles in the lawn connect the terrace to the hardwood decking. The pavement also consists of newly baked clinkers and Graustable, also called Stol. This is a so-called semi-pavement, which softens the sleek modern appearance of the house and the Schellevis tiles and ensures a beautiful transition to the naturally designed garden.

The carefully chosen plants in this garden with swimming pond in Nuenen enhance the natural atmosphere. The many flowers, such as Echinacea, Agastache, Lavatera and Buddleja, attract butterflies and bees. The pre-existing large trees and shrubs are very attractive to many birds. Newly planted trees and shrubs will certainly enhance this effect after a few years of growth.

Groenregie has installed a fully automatic garden irrigation system in this large garden, complete with a sprinkler computer, so that the garden owners can enjoy all plants and the large lawn of over 650 m² without any worries during dry periods.
