Menen law firm
Renovation and transformation at a law firm in Menen from a 2-part living space to a divided combination of living and working. This is a law firm where part of the former residential area sometimes also had to function as a meeting room or reception room.
Because of this basic requirement and because of the difference in style between the two spaces, the free passage in between was provided with a closed or semi-open structure consisting of 2 sliding walls and a central cupboard section. The meeting room versus dining room was further authentically restored and the style neutralized to such an extent that the extensive art collection could come into its own. Special attention was paid to the right lighting and the acoustic aspect. The application of a floating stretch ceiling provided the solution for both aspects.
The more separated living area, which also serves as an additional reception area for special clients, was given a contemporary facelift in which all practical matters such as storage spaces were provided. Subsequently, a logical relationship was also established between the two spaces, which was primarily a necessity in the semi-open state.
