Buitenhuis Villabouw

Modern villa with custom woodwork and large glazing

Black window frames cut through the brickwork and pull the eye straight into the house. From the outside, the massing stays clear: a pitched roof with dark tiles, large panes set into the façade, and a rhythm of openings that already hints at the daylight inside. It is a quiet way of presenting bespoke villa construction: not by adding ornament, but by letting the proportions, the glazing, and the material transitions do the work.

Brick, glass and a roofline with a strong profile

The exterior reads as a modern villa with a restrained years-30 reference in the roof shape and brick shell. Black profiles sharpen the window edges, while the larger panes open up the rear of the home and make the rooms behind them visible from the garden side. That contrast between solid masonry and wide glass surfaces gives the project its clarity. The house does not rely on decoration; its effect comes from the way the openings are cut into the façade and how the roof settles above them.

Seen from different angles, the building keeps the same direct language. A side volume in timber, the gravelled approach, and the deep window reveals add depth without breaking the composition. The glazing is not limited to one elevation. It appears in broad stretches around the living spaces, around the entrance, and again where the interior opens toward the terrace. That repeated use of large glazing shapes the project more than any single detail.

Custom wood interior that runs through kitchen and hall

Inside, the surfaces change immediately. Wood panels line walls, wrap storage, and guide the eye through the hall toward the living area. The detail is careful but never overdrawn: straight joints, flush fronts, and a calm contrast with the white and grey wall surfaces around them. The result is a clear example of custom wood interior, where the joinery is part of the room architecture rather than a separate layer placed on top.

The entrance and stair zone keep that same discipline. Black-framed interior glazing opens the view toward the living spaces, while the stair wall combines white surfaces with darker panels and timber treads. Light is built into the ceiling, which keeps the lines visible after dark. Instead of a single showpiece, the house uses repeated custom details to link rooms: a cabinet run here, a wall panel there, and timber continuing in the kitchen and sleeping areas.

An open-plan kitchen built around timber and light

The kitchen sits openly within the living space and uses a simple palette to hold the room together. Wood fronts run across the wall units, a white island sits in the middle, and glass pendants mark the dining zone without closing it off. The working side is visible too, with a continuous run of cabinetry and a dark opening for appliances. This is an open-plan kitchen that relies on line and surface rather than excess volume.

What the kitchen details make visible

The white island gives the room a lighter centre, while the surrounding wood keeps the composition grounded. Because the cabinetry continues in a straight line, the kitchen reads as one built piece instead of a loose collection of units. The pendant lights add a finer layer above the table, but the strongest visual move is still the joinery itself. It frames the room, defines the work zone, and leaves enough visual space for the large windows to carry daylight across the floor.

That same woodwork appears in the living and dining area, where the windows are dressed with curtains and the garden side remains fully present. The room is not closed in by furniture or heavy partitions. Instead, the glazing, the timber wall surfaces, and the open view toward the terrace keep the living zone connected to the outside. In a bespoke villa construction project, that relationship matters as much as the materials themselves.

Bathroom surfaces that stay direct and readable

The bathroom continues the project’s preference for clear surfaces. Grey tiles line the shower zone, a glass partition keeps the area open, and the bath sits beside a wood-fronted vanity. The room includes both a walk-in shower and a tub, but the layout does not try to disguise the plumbing or the geometry. It lets the tile field, the glass, and the timber cabinetry define the space. As a walk-in shower bathroom, it feels measured and functional without looking sparse.

Material contrast does the main work here. The cooler tile tone sets off the warm timber fronts, while the white bath and lighter walls stop the room from becoming too heavy. The finishes remain legible at every turn, which is exactly what makes the room easy to read in the photos. The same visual discipline appears in the bedroom storage, where fitted cupboards sit under the roof slope and large windows bring in daylight from the side.

Terrace and lawn extend the living space outward

At the back, the house opens onto a terrace made of grey paving, edged by lawn and mature planting. The surface reads as part of the architecture, not as a separate garden gesture. Its hard line sets off the grass, and the planted border softens the edge without hiding the house. This is where the project’s indoor-outdoor logic becomes most visible: the large panes look straight onto the terrace, and the terrace in turn leads into the garden. The connection is direct and easy to follow.

The outdoor setting also reinforces the scale of the villa. The terrace sits close to the glass, so the rooms behind it keep the garden in view throughout the day. Mature greenery frames the perimeter and keeps the hard paving from feeling isolated. For a project defined by large glazing and custom wood interiors, that outside space matters because it completes the sequence of surfaces: brick, timber, glass, stone, and lawn, all reading in one line of sight.

What stays with the viewer is the precision of the transitions. Exterior brick meets black frames, interior timber meets white walls, and the terrace shifts from grey paving to grass without fuss. The project does not try to impress through size alone. It uses proportion, repeated materials, and clear openings to hold the villa together. That is where bespoke villa construction becomes visible: in the way each element supports the next, from façade to kitchen, from bathroom to garden side.
