In the middle of Leiden’s busy center, Erwin Stam has created a perfect green oasis. The garden is a mix of unique plantings, trees of different sizes and classic paving. In the lighting plan, spotlights were used so that the planting is as atmospheric after sunset as during the day. In addition, ground spots were used to illuminate the trees from the gravel and grass. During the day, these fixtures are barely visible but the light is all the more striking in the evening. The up-down lighters on the wall make one of the most important sight lines from the home stand out even in the evening hours.
