Poolhouse with an indoor pool: industrial chic & country-luxe details

A dark-edged pool sits just inside the glass line, with blue reflections moving across the water. Around it, the room keeps its finishes restrained: black frames, pale surfaces, and a clear view through to the garden. That direct connection gives the poolhouse with indoor pool its strongest feature. You read the space in layers — water, glazing, timber, brick — instead of as one flat interior.

Glass walls, brick and timber set the tone

The exterior uses brick and wood in a way that feels grounded rather than decorative. Wide openings interrupt the masonry and pull daylight deep into the plan. A red tiled roof settles the volume, while the black-framed glazing keeps the larger openings visually light. The result is a poolhouse that looks robust from the garden side, yet open once you step inside. In photographs of the building, the brick and wood facade is the clearest cue to the project’s industrial chic interior.

The garden approach reinforces that reading. A cobblestone garden path runs through the lawn in a straight line, with planting kept low beside it. Along the route, outdoor wall lighting marks the edge of the facade after dark. Those lamps do more than light the path; they pull attention to the brickwork, the timber details, and the way the building sits beside the grass rather than being hidden by it.

An open interior with a clear line to the pool

Inside, the plan opens out quickly. Seating, kitchen elements, and the pool zone share the same visual field, so the room never feels cut into small parts. Large glass frontage brings the outdoors into view from the living area, and the black window frames give that outlook a crisp outline. The interior works because the surfaces stay calm: white fronts in the kitchen wall, a dark worktop, and brick used as a tactile counterpoint rather than a full covering.

The seating area is placed to keep sightlines open. Upholstered sofas sit under round pendant lights, while the ceiling above remains visible enough to show the beam structure. That mix of soft furniture and exposed timber is what gives the room its industrial chic interior character. It is not driven by decoration. Instead, the room is shaped by what the eye can follow — from the kitchen edge to the glazing, and from the hanging lights back to the brick wall with its opening.

Round pendant lights over visible beams

The hanging lights are easy to miss at first, but they define the mood of the room. Their round forms repeat across the open ceiling and soften the hard lines of the frames and masonry. Below them, the visible beams and rafters bring structure into view. That roof construction adds weight to the ceiling without closing it down. In the same shot, the white brick wall and timber accents keep the palette light enough for the glass openings to remain the dominant surface.

Seen from another angle, the same interior shifts again. The kitchen wall has white fronts and a dark countertop, and it sits close to the living zone rather than in a separate nook. A brick wall with an opening or fireplace detail breaks up the linear run of cabinetry. This is where the poolhouse with indoor pool becomes more than a wet room attached to a lounge. It reads as a liveable annex, with enough room for sitting, cooking, and moving directly toward the pool.

The pool room keeps the focus on water and light

The pool itself has a rectangular basin with a dark rim, which sharpens its outline against the lighter room. In one view, a glass barrier runs along the side, so the edge stays visible without feeling closed off. Blue light reflects on the water surface, giving the pool an evening presence even in a still image. The surrounding finishes stay deliberately plain. Stone or tile edges frame the basin, and the larger windows keep the pool zone tied to the rest of the building.

Another pool view shows the same approach from a different angle: broad glazing, black door frames, and a pale floor finish surrounding the water. The composition is spare, but not sterile. It relies on proportion. The pool takes up enough of the room to dominate, while the window grid and the dark detailing prevent the space from dissolving into one bright box. That balance is what makes the poolhouse with indoor pool feel consistent from the living area right through to the water.

A roofline that anchors the whole volume

The red tiled roof gives the building a clear profile from outside. Under that roof, the brick walls and timber elements are repeated in door shutters, side openings, and frame details, so the building does not rely on a single gesture. The roof shape is simple, but it works with the larger windows to create a steady rhythm across the elevation. In the facade images, the central glazed section is the most obvious break in the masonry, and it brings the indoor use of the building into view immediately.

That exterior rhythm continues along the edge of the garden path. The cobblestone paving, the low planting, and the wall lights all sit close to the building, which keeps the approach compact. Nothing about the route feels ceremonial. It is practical, direct, and easy to read. That matters for a poolhouse, because the route to the door becomes part of the project’s identity. Here, the path, the lighting, and the glazing all point back to the same idea: a poolhouse with indoor pool that stays connected to the garden while keeping its own enclosed calm.

From the lawn to the glass doors

What lingers is the sequence between outside and inside. First the stone path, then the brick wall with its warm texture, then the large opening in black metal, and finally the room with its round pendant lights and visible rafters. That chain of details gives the building its character without needing extra ornament. The materials do the work themselves. Brick grounds the volume, timber softens the hard edges, and glass keeps the whole annex readable from the garden. In this poolhouse with indoor pool, each move is visible before it is described.
