Sleek high-level balcony
“The nice thing about the roof terrace is that you are immediately in the middle of the experience of the crowns of the trees,” explains landscaper Gert-Jan Schouwenaar. On the rooftop terrace, a true outdoor room was created around the fireplace, with multi-trunk Plane trees in containers as decoration. The clients had knocked on Sparq Gardens’ door early on for a garden design, so the fireplace could be incorporated directly into the construction. , “The white leather sofa on the slightly raised hardwood deck really gives the feeling of an outdoor room!”

Sleek materials feel soft
To enjoy being able to reach the balcony with bare feet from the bedroom, “outdoor carpet” in a light gray shade was chosen. The landscaper is very enthusiastic about this: “Officially, this is artificial grass but in a different color. With underlayment underneath it runs very soft!”

Sleek patio as dining and viewing area
The patio is centrally located in the home and, in addition to its dining function, has an important role as a “viewing area. The dining table stands on a floor of hardwood planks laid without visible fasteners. Around this floor is a wide rim filled with smooth cobblestones, in which elongated concrete tiles act as stepping stones at the sliding doors. A distinctive Carpinus betulus with evergreen under-planting provides an attractive image all year round.
