Dick Mulders as a team member of COARE interior architecture was asked to take on the sustainable redevelopment of Alliander’ s 20,000m² headquarters called Bellevue in Arnhem.

We developed the transformation of the traditional 1980s Bellevue office into a work environment that understands the need to connect people. This, through an almost complete circular renovation: to design the office, we reused existing materials and utilized them in new applications. In collaboration with a very actively involved client, an innovative work environment was created that meets the needs of the end user. For example, instead of long corridors of rooms, there was a need for open workspaces with flexible seating and many meeting rooms for collaborative work.
