Woodland garden in Lochem
In close collaboration with garden and landscape architect Luc Engelhard and the clients, Groenregie was able to realize the garden plans for this woodland garden in Lochem in phases. The garden is huge and is located in a beautiful wooded area. In the middle of the plot is a stately high white house and the house is reached from the public road via a curved and gravel path.
The first phase included lowering part of the lawn so that the designed forest pond is clearly visible from the house. Then sandy paths were built through the forest and a forest pond was created in a completely natural way. A concrete terrace has also been poured, the concrete of which has even been colored by applying a coloring agent.
The second phase consisted of applying the plants. Around the house, openness has been created and many perennials have been planted, which give abundant flowers in successive flowering times. Many ferns, blueberries and shrubs have been planted in the forest, which turn beautiful in autumn. Through this planting and the sowing of a flower mixture in the flower arrangements, the finishing was completed and after a growing year this all led to a beautiful end result.
The garden owners of this forest garden in Lochem can now enjoy the beautiful view from the terraces around the house. Fine seats have also been made elsewhere in the garden, such as a lovely seat under an old Oak, in the orchard under the nostalgic fruit trees and among the wild flowers.
