Infinity pool with pond overflow

The water line catches the eye first. At the edge of this infinity pool with pond overflow, the surface slips toward the pond and pulls the garden into the composition. Blue water, a low edge, and a broad view across grass and planting give the outdoor space its direction. From the terrace, the scene reads in layers: pool, pond, greenery, then the line of trees beyond.

The pool sits as part of a larger outdoor room rather than as a separate object. A wood deck by the pool runs beside grayer paving, while the surrounding planting softens the geometry of the water. The pool and pond seamless transition is visible in the way the overflow edge meets the natural water surface. Nothing here feels added for effect; each surface has a clear place in the view.

Water, terrace, and the long view

The terrace does more than frame the pool. It gives the eye a place to stop before moving outward to the pond and the park-like garden. The stone paving holds the foreground, and the timber deck beside it introduces a warmer note without taking over the scene. From this position, the infinity edge pool reads as a straight, controlled line against the softer edge of the water beyond it.

That long view matters to the whole setting. A sightline opens from the terrace toward the pond and greenery, with the water surfaces reflecting different tones of light. The pond is not hidden away; it is part of the same visual route as the pool. In the photographs, the garden lawn and planting beds keep the edges loose enough for the water to stand out.

A pavilion set above the lounge zone

Wooden posts carry the modern outdoor pool pavilion across the lounge and pool area. The structure sits lightly over the space, with a broad roof plane that gives the terrace another layer without closing it in. Beneath it, glass and stone meet the timber frame, and the contrast between materials gives the zone a clear edge.

The pavilion also shapes how the outdoor area is used. It marks a pause between the house and the water, while still leaving the pool and pond in full view. In one image, the underside of the roof and the round ceiling light draw attention to the covered seating area, while the blue pool lies just beyond. The result is a setting that keeps its focus on the water, even when seen from under cover.

Wood, stone, and glass in the same frame

Material changes are part of what makes the scene easy to read. Natural stone appears in the retaining wall and in the house side, while the terrace shifts between grey paving and a wood deck by the pool. The pavilion posts repeat the timber tone, and the dark window frames sharpen the reflections in the glass. Each material does a different job: stone anchors, wood softens, glass opens the view.

Close-up shots make that mix more apparent. The pool edge meets planting along the pond, and the line of the water is clean against the greenery. In another view, the timber post stands beside a glass opening, with the infinity pool water at the bottom of the frame. These details keep the project grounded in what is visible: the way the materials meet, and how they guide the eye toward the water.

How the garden shapes the pool

The garden is not a backdrop here. Lawn, planting, and the edge of the pond form the setting that allows the infinity pool with pond overflow to work visually. The oeverlijn around the pond curves gently, which softens the straight lines of the pool and terrace. Even the fence and tree line in the distance stay quiet, so the composition remains focused on water and green surfaces.

Seen from the covered zone, the garden reads as a wide horizontal field. The pond reflects the sky in calmer tones than the pool, and the planting along its edge breaks the line without crowding it. That difference between hard and soft edges gives the space its rhythm. The pool keeps its precise outline, while the garden absorbs it into a broader landscape.

Views that change with the position

From one angle, the infinity edge pool is the main event. From another, the pond takes over and the pool becomes part of a larger water scene. That shift is visible in the series of images, which alternate between broad views and tighter details of the waterline. The project works because the composition changes with movement: standing on the terrace, under the pavilion, or closer to the pond.

The lounge area under cover reinforces that movement. It gives the outdoor space a sheltered stopping point without breaking the connection to the garden. The wooden structure, the grey terrace floor, and the blue water all sit in clear relation to each other. As a result, the eye keeps moving, from the deck to the pool edge, then outward to the pond and the trees beyond.

Details such as the stone wall, the timber posts, and the long glass openings keep the setting visually open. The project is not built around decoration. It is built around a line of sight: from the covered seating area across the terrace, over the infinity edge, and into the pond and greenery. That sequence is what gives the outdoor space its calm, direct character.
