This attractive, modern home is a hidden gem near the vibrant center of Rotterdam. The residents dreamed of a cozy, sophisticated home where both they and their children could live and feel at home in complete freedom. They were looking for a home with enough space to enjoy together as a family, but also with places to retreat to for a moment of peace. To make their dream home a reality, they turned to Studio MBC.

The breathtaking interior
The interior of the villa is characterized by an open space concept in which the living room, generous kitchen and dining room flow seamlessly into one another. From these living spaces one has a view of the study and playroom, which are stylishly separated by beautiful steel swing doors. The owners’ self-selected kitchen served as the inspiration for the rest of the interior, with custom cabinetry made from materials that blend seamlessly with the kitchen design. The color palettes chosen were also applied consistently in each room, creating a harmonious whole.

The power of illumination
In addition to the interior, Studio MBC also designed the lighting plan – a specialty they value highly. The right lighting elevates any design, as is evident in this project. Not only does it promote functionality and well-being, a good lighting plan adds depth and dynamism to the interior. This is one of the reasons why homeowners enjoy their homes so much!
