Mark Elst Photography

I am a Dutch architectural and interior photographer based on the Côte d’Azur in France. I mainly work for architects, interior designers, magazines, and investment companies in the high-end segment around the world.

My work leans toward an editorial style, with the aim of creating powerful, natural images. The goal is to make viewers feel as if they are truly at the property, right where the photograph was taken.

Light, composition, and human interaction are key to delivering strong, compelling photographs. All of my images contain contrast; this may come through light, color, movement, or composition.

Some of my clients include SAOTA, Knut Hjeltnes, Eric Kuster, Atelier K Architecture, and Studio Marco van Veldhuizen. My work has been published digitally and in print in magazines and books such as The Best, Beta-Plus, Häuser Magazine, Artravel, Callway, Elle Decoration, Art & Living, and Residence Magazine.

For my photography, I received a special mention from the Architizer Vision Awards and the APALMANAC Awards. LOOP Design Awards named me one of the 100 most inspiring architectural photographers in 2022.

In addition to my professional work, I also photograph personal projects. For this, I collaborate with Artsper Art Gallery in Paris.
