Villa with holiday feeling

JUMA architects transformed a typical bungalow house from 1976 into a contemporary villa with a holiday feeling.

Nothing remains of the original layout. This means that the entrance door is already at a different location to begin with. The stairs to the basement and to the attic were removed and replaced by two stair shutters so that much space was released that used to only serve as a circulation space. The garage was also sacrificed. Not only because of the place that the garage took up, but also because it completely obstructed the view of the most beautiful part of the garden. The unused attic space above the garage was cut open to the ridge and so JUMA created the perfect place to house the kitchen. The voluminous Vertigo lamp hangs above the central kitchen island, which looks great there.

The kitchen is bathed in green thanks to a new large window party. Large glass sections were also provided at the level of the dining room and the sitting area with cozy fireplace to fully enjoy the light and the view of the new swimming pool.

A volume was added in L-shape around that sky-blue swimming pool with a covered terrace and the master bedroom. Also from that bedroom and from the adjoining bathroom you have direct contact with the pool and that is what makes this property so special. Everywhere you experience a wonderful holiday feeling.

The colors and materials are kept very light and sober with the occasional black detail in the window frames, the door handles or the lighting fixtures. The whole radiates serenity so that the residents can fully unwind here.
