In a brand new neighborhood in the watery Reeuwijk, modern water houses have recently been built. For the owners of one of these houses, we were allowed to make a sleek and modern garden design and then create the garden. The contact went very well and was familiar, because we had previously been able to design and build a garden for these people.

This time the assignment was extra challenging, because there was a great desire for a swimming pool on a relatively small surface. The choice fell on a beautiful bath from the brand “Swimm”. The Swimm intelligent pool is equipped with a swimming machine and is specially made to do a wonderful swimming training in a small space. The swimming machine ensures that the body experiences resistance across the entire width of the water, equaling the feeling of swimming in open water. The swimming machine can also be turned off, making the bath a play paradise for children during summer days.

The garden is adjacent to a cross ditch where many hazards. The client’s wish was therefore also to have more privacy in the garden. We have created this by placing a wall of peeled chestnut posts along the long side of the pool. Reeuwijk is located in a peat-rich environment. That is why this garden with swimming pool at water villa in Reeuwijk is completely piled up. Piles have been driven under the pool and the deck of solid wide composite parts has been built on a solid concrete floor. The client therefore does not have to worry that the garden will subside in the future.

In addition to the swimming pool and a large deck terrace, the garden design also takes into account an outdoor shower, an area for pool technology and an artificial grass field for the children. The planting plan made by us exudes a southern atmosphere, by planting an evergreen multi-stemmed cork oak and a large multi-stemmed Parottia, evergreen dwarf palms (Chamaerops humilis), Tuscan Jasmine and various flowering perennials. The 12 volt garden lighting with warm white light completes the picture of this garden with swimming pool at water villa in Reeuwijk and ensures that the garden is attractive at night.
