Outside in
This spacious villa is made for a family of four, with all rooms connected on the ground floor. A sustainable and spacious home that blurs the line between indoor and outdoor space. A lush green patio is placed in the middle of the living room. Sliding glass doors give unobstructed views of the surrounding garden and pool. Cabinets, kitchen and furniture are custom designed and follow the architectural structure making interior and architecture seamlessly connected.
With a purist design vision and understated materials, Bedaux de Brouwer and i29 designed a villa that has a luxurious feel without being pretentious. The greatest quality of this house is the harmonious integration of interior and exterior down to the smallest details. Large wooden surfaces were used throughout the house to visually connect the different spaces. Cabinets, walls, sliding doors and beds are of the same wood and finish for unity and connection.
The all-black brick facades alternately hide and show the green surroundings, and at the front of the building large planters are integrated into the facade. The home is sustainably built for effective use of energy, with thermal storage, a heat pump and solar collectors on the roof.
The goal was to naturally connect the interior with the exterior. Paradoxically, this home has plenty of openness and transparency in its facades, but at the same time feels private and protected by its lush greenery and clever layout. An ideal place to spend your time indoors and outdoors. The sober and pure material application gives a relaxed atmosphere of natural luxury.
