A young couple had a dream home designed in Wemmel. Architectural inspiration was found in the streetscape of Knokke, good for plenty of coastal charm. The functionally-sober interior architecture nevertheless invites through unusual material choices. Thus, the ground floor impresses with a sleek kitchen, where a large island unites family and guests.
Lots of character too: a kitchen worktop in white composite, wenge veneer on the cabinet wall… A fine garden view reinforces the connection with nature. The same goes for the home office with 2 desks. The dining room houses built-in cabinets painted in the wall color. Thus, they blend in completely with the architecture. Ditto for the living room, which even has an impressive gas fireplace.
Cat lover? Between the living room and laundry room, b+ provided a cat passageway, ideal for overstimulated four-legged friends. And convenient for the bosses. Upstairs then: Italian plumbing, custom furniture and the same combination as in the kitchen. In addition to the parent and child bedrooms, there is a guest house, again with its own bathroom.
