Modern and energy-neutral villa, Den Bosch

On the outskirts of Den Bosch, in a beautiful wooded area, lies our clients’ beautiful lot. For this setting, we designed their dream villa.

Their wish was to create a life-proof and energy-neutral villa with a modern look at this location. The closed front and open back makes it both an intimate and open living environment.

The design made clever use of sight lines, allowing each living space to have plenty of natural light at all times of the day. The spacious living kitchen is the centerpiece of the home. Although the kitchen is positioned on the north side, plenty of natural light still enters the home. This is due to the large open loft on the second floor where large windows have been placed.

The task was to interconnect the spaces. The sightlines are the common thread in this.

In addition, the generous glass rear façade ensures that the beautifully landscaped garden with the adjacent forest is connected to life inside.

The house is embraced, as it were, by a fairly closed front facade, creating a secure and intimate living environment.
