Metamorphosis country house
Amidst the countryside, Spanjers Architect drew for a thorough renovation and expansion of an existing home. The original house consists of two equal, perpendicular volumes. In the design, one of these volumes was retained as much as possible and the other volume was substantially expanded. This creates a clear hierarchy between the two volumes, which is reinforced by a difference in the use of materials. By using a covered color palette, the home fits well into the rural setting. The sleek details give this rural home a modern and fresh look. The warm atmosphere and high level of finish is carried through into the interior, which is best described as “hotel-chic.
