Studio 34 South

34 South was born in 2017 out of a collaboration between two designers, magnetized by a shared passion for conceptual design and challenging the norms in visual and artistic disciplines. The ideas of 34 South are derived from an international background, and in honor of this, the 34 ° parallel to the south is the latitude that connects both original founding cities.

Chechi Valentine now runs the studio from their office in Amsterdam. She has a focus and passion for pure design and problem-solving, digs deep into a design challenge and solves it down to every detail. Her diverse experience ranges from designing consumer products and furniture to interior architecture and leading design projects in retail, hospitality and housing throughout Europe. Her warmth combined with her refined design skills always results in something functionally clever and aesthetically new.
