Collaboration
“Collaboration has everything to do with trust, together you get to the core”. He imposes nothing on clients. He takes them along to their end goal, a goal that they do not yet know themselves and which they discover along the way. He helps with that. As it were, he coaches the client. “Together we go in search of the client’s personal style, which I then translate into contemporary living”.
Direction
He keeps tight direction over the structure. The incidence of light, the spatial layout, the lighting plan for the evening, important major interventions such as kitchen, bathrooms, large custom cabinets or sofa. The smaller it gets, the more personal it often is. That differs per project. “People sometimes find it pleasant to choose the accessories together as well, others prefer to do that part themselves “. Sometimes he shows examples, makes sketches, or goes shopping with the client.
Working methodHis working method is just as uncomplicated; about three weeks after the first meeting he has a sketch plan ready. He discusses it with the client. Then he adjusts it in details. He draws up the plan, so that contractors can start calculating quotations. He regularly works together with a network of experienced specialists: project managers, architectural draftsmen and structural engineers.
If he needs them, he forms a construction team.
