Concrete, glass and afrormosia wood. These are the three ingredients of this modern home close to the dunes of Oostduinkerke. The impressively covered terrace has several walls around it, offering protection from the – sometimes strong – sea breezes. The terrace provides a nice connection between indoors and outdoors.

The Gargantua- table and Inumbra parasolfit perfectly on this patio. They attract all the attention and are literally in the spotlight when the sun shines through the large hole in the roof. The galvanized steel and Iroko hardwood of this designer table blend nicely with the architecture of the home. Not only do the colors match well, but the materials are resistant to aging and require little maintenance.

Under the parasol

The uniqueness of the Inumbra parasol lies in its design. The mechanism that opens and closes the parasol is above the fabric so you don’t have to deal with ropes over your head. The shape and high tension make the Inumbra highly wind resistant. The surface of the parasol also sits closer to the table which provides additional shade and coziness, allowing you to enjoy your time together.

When you get a little closer, you see that the Inumbra has no foot. It appears to float, but actually rests on the table top of the Gargantua. This gives it a more spacious and sleek look and also gives you more legroom.
