The Belgian Architect Walter Wuyts has a predilection for modernity and he does not hide that. We follow the architect through a photographic tour of his own design, a unique home characterized by well-used spaces, smart light and the omnipresence of water along the home.

The Belgian company Anyway Doors has been responsible for the interior doors in the house and that was a very conscious choice of the client, who was very fond of the possibilities that Anyway has to offer. Anyway owes its name to the literal maneuverability of the doors, of which both the hinge side and the direction of rotation can be changed after installation.

What made this project unique for Anyway was the lightness of the house, with glass panels in the floor and in the roof. Glass was also chosen for the interior doors, which had to fit nicely with the white cast floor. The architect has consciously opted for doors with a minimalist frame. Nowadays doors without frames are really popular, but working with them is a lot safer and easier, because the door cannot be worked incorrectly or inadequately. Moreover, integration is very simple in this way, none of the other contractors had to take the doors into account. The doorways are finished as if no doors were placed. It is also a more budget-friendly solution for completely invisible interior doors. The measurement can be done as soon as the walls and floors have been finished and the installation runs very smoothly, one day the job was done. Anyway takes care of the whole picture, from drilling the holes over the sealing to the brightening of the doors at the end.

The great advantage of a client who is himself an architect = he was aware of all the advantages and disadvantages and could make well-considered choices. What made this project special was that many doors are located in a continuous wall. Because our doors have built-in handles, you can easily open the door against the wall.
