Built-in skimmer pool with steps and cover

A straight pool edge, pale waterline, and grey paving set the tone immediately. The rectangular built-in skimmer pool sits partly below grade, with the lawn tightening its outline on one side and a hedge closing the view at the back. The white liner catches the light differently from the darker coping, so the shape reads clearly even from a distance. It is a compact composition, measured at 800 x 400 x 150 cm, with every line kept clean and direct.

A rectangular skimmer pool framed by grey paving

The pool plan is simple: a rectangular skimmer pool with a clear perimeter and a restrained border of grey tiles. That choice gives the water a strong edge and keeps attention on the basin itself. In the overview images, the pool runs alongside grass and a narrow paved route, while planting softens the far side. The result is orderly without feeling sealed off. The skimmer detail sits quietly in the composition, letting the water surface and the coping define the scene.

Seen from the side, the proportions are easy to read. The pool stretches in a long, horizontal line beside the lawn, and the paving follows that line without interruption. A partial garden structure appears on one side, while a dense hedge forms the green backdrop. These layers keep the project grounded in its surroundings. The built-in skimmer pool feels anchored, with the geometry of the basin carrying most of the visual weight.

Steps, a seating ledge, and the entrance zone

The entry area is one of the most visible features. A slanted corner step leads into the water and opens onto a seating ledge, which gives the corner more than one use. From above, the cut-out in the liner creates a break in the rectilinear plan, and that break is easy to spot in the aerial view. The water zones around the entry do not overwhelm the pool; they simply introduce a shift in level and a place to pause.

That step-and-seat arrangement also changes how the pool is read from the garden. Instead of a single empty basin, the corner becomes a point of arrival. The angle of the step draws the eye down, while the ledge creates a horizontal line just beneath the surface. In a pool with steps, these small movements matter. They give the rectangular form a more layered interior without adding visual noise to the edge.

White liner, clear waterline

The white reinforced liner is visible across several images, especially where the water meets the wall. It lightens the basin and makes the interior surfaces easier to trace. Along the upper edge, the dark coping creates a sharper contrast, so the junction between liner, wall, and water stays legible. In the closer images, the liner does more than line the bowl: it marks the contours, the entry, and the slight changes in depth around the step area.

Because the pool has a pool with white liner finish, the water picks up a lighter tone and reflects the sky in a soft way. The material choice is understated, but it affects every view. The pool’s interior reads as a single field of colour until the step zone or edge detail interrupts it. That calm surface makes the geometric shape stand out, especially where the straight wall meets the corner transition.

Lighting and equipment kept close to the structure

White LED points are listed as part of the installation, and their presence fits the project’s measured approach. The lighting is not used as decoration; it is part of the pool’s structure and evening visibility. In the day images, the fittings are discreet, leaving the liner and coping to define the visual rhythm. The same applies to the pool management system, which is mentioned in the specification but stays out of sight. It supports the pool without changing the look of the basin.

The technical package also includes a filter installation with AFM and an All Seasons Full Inverter heat pump. Those components sit behind the visible composition, but they are part of the project story. The pool heat pump and filtration are named in the specification because they belong to the build, not because they dominate the images. That separation is useful here: the design remains calm and clear, while the technical side is handled as a set of integrated parts rather than as visual features.

Cover and lift system at the edge

A grey pool cover appears repeatedly in the images, sometimes resting on the edge and sometimes occupying part of the terrace line. Its colour sits close to the paving, which helps it blend into the perimeter when it is in place. The cover is supplied with a lift system, and that addition is noted in the project data. Visually, the cover reinforces the pool’s rectangular outline instead of hiding it; even when closed, the form remains readable.

This pool cover with lift system also changes the way the edge is used. The terrace around the basin stays open, but the cover introduces another layer along one side. In the wider garden views, the grey surface of the cover echoes the paving and sits against the green of the lawn and hedge. The contrast is practical to the eye. It keeps the composition legible, with a clear line between water, stone, and planting.

A garden composition built around straight lines

The strongest visual impression comes from the way the pool sits between lawn, paving, and planting. Straight lines run through the project: the long pool wall, the tiled border, the path alongside the basin, and the hedge behind it. Even the partial garden structure on one side follows that order. The rectangular skimmer pool is therefore not isolated as an object; it is placed within a sequence of surfaces that all respect the same direction.

Closer images show the details that hold this sequence together. The pool edge is crisp, the waterline is clear, and the liner folds the interior into a single bright field. In the aerial view, the step area and the cover become easier to read, while the surrounding garden shows how the basin is set into the plot. As a project example, the built-in skimmer pool works through restraint: measured dimensions, a visible entry zone, a white interior, and technical equipment that stays behind the surface of the design.
