Dark timber, stone-look surfaces and restrained lighting set the tone as soon as you step into the ground floor. The plan moves from kitchen to dining and living areas without visual clutter, but every zone has its own material cue. A kitchen with island anchors the space, while the custom interior design language repeats in the joinery, wall finishes and the built-in fireplace. The result feels grounded rather than decorative, with sharp lines, soft seating and a clear contrast between light walls and darker inserts.

The kitchen is arranged around a generous island with a light stone-look countertop and dark base cabinets. From the pictures, the island works as both a work surface and a visual pause in the room, especially against the large windows and horizontal blinds behind it. The cabinet fronts stay quiet, letting the material shift do the talking: pale stone on top, deep-toned joinery below. That simple move gives the kitchen with island a strong presence without overloading the room.

Seen from the living side, the kitchen sits within the larger custom interior design of the ground floor rather than standing apart from it. The joinery lines run horizontally, which keeps the room calm even when multiple functions meet in one open plan. Light from the glazing falls across the worktop and the dark wood interior elements nearby, making the kitchen feel connected to the rest of the living space. It is a practical layout, but the detailing keeps it visually measured.

Custom TV wall and built-in fireplace

The custom tv wall is one of the clearest gestures in the house. Its horizontal structure gives the wall a layered look, and the inset screen sits neatly within that rhythm. Below it, the built-in fireplace creates a lower focal point, framed in black and set into a lighter wall zone. The two elements work together as one composition, with the tv wall above and the fire below, keeping the living room anchored without adding visual noise.

Materials carry most of the effect here. Suede-like upholstery appears on the wall treatment, while dark wood interior notes deepen the backdrop and the stone-like fire surround adds a harder edge. The details are not showy; they are precise. A custom interior design approach is visible in the way the lines align, the openings are recessed, and the lighting is tucked into the room rather than attached to it. In the evening, that layered wall becomes the main surface in the living area.

Light, seating and the view through the room

Across the sitting area, large glazing and long curtains soften the stronger materials. A low sofa, loose cushions and a textured rug bring the eye down after the vertical scale of the windows and ceiling. Above the dining table, pendant lighting marks the centre of the room and gives the open plan a second focus point. The arrangement is simple, but it works because each part has a clear job: seating, circulation, dining and the wall with fire each hold their own place.

Several photographs show how the spaces connect by sightline. From one zone you catch the fireplace opening, then the dining table, then the kitchen with island beyond. That depth makes the ground floor read as one continuous interior rather than a series of separate rooms. It is also where the custom joinery matters most. It holds the transition points, keeps storage out of the way and lets the materials stay visible from one end of the plan to the other.

Bathroom finish with wood-look herringbone tiles

The bathroom shifts the palette, but keeps the same direct approach to materials. Wood-look herringbone tiles cover the floor, bringing pattern underfoot without breaking the room into smaller pieces. On the walls, marble-like tiles are laid with an open-book effect, so the veining reads as one mirrored surface instead of a random mix. Bronze details are introduced sparingly, and that small change in metal tone gives the room a quieter, more finished edge.

This is where the project moves from living spaces to a more contained interior, but the language stays consistent. The bathroom does not rely on ornament; it relies on surface, alignment and proportion. The wood-look herringbone tiles and the open-book wall finish make the room feel deliberate from floor to ceiling. Compared with the darker living areas, the bathroom is lighter in tone, yet it still belongs to the same custom interior design through its restrained material palette.

Materials that hold the scheme together

Stone, timber and fabric repeat throughout the villa, but each is used in a different way. The kitchen with island uses stone-look surfaces to keep the work zone clear. The living area adds dark wood interior elements and a custom tv wall with horizontal lines. The bathroom turns to patterned tile and bronze accents. Because the materials are repeated with a change in scale, the house keeps a consistent language without flattening the rooms into one note.

What stands out most is the way the bespoke joinery sits in the background and still shapes the experience of the house. Cabinet runs, wall panels and recessed zones create order, while lighting outlines the architecture instead of competing with it. That is the thread running through the whole custom interior design: measured surfaces, strong contrasts and a clear sense of where each room begins and ends. The ground floor and bathroom feel edited, not overloaded, and the details stay visible where they matter.
