The renovation of this authentic farm was intended to restore the lost charm to this property, as well as to increase comfort.

JUMA likes to beautifully stage the entrance door and has converted the connecting volume between the two wings of the house into a symmetrical whole, with solid wooden beams supporting the new awning.

The existing roof construction was in poor condition and was also very low. A new and higher roof truss was replaced and the Veluxen had to make way for traditional dormer windows. The old Boom roof tiles could be recovered. This intervention resulted in the development of a fully-fledged floor, in which the dormer windows naturally provide light and views, but also contribute to strengthening the rural character of the farm.

The difficult staircase was illogical in the house and was broken down. The new sculptural spiral staircase is now the eye-catcher and provides a warm welcome in the entrance hall.

The kitchen was located in a more central location and the stove was invented by JUMA in the monumental fireplace.

The massive exterior walls have been ecologically insulated from the inside and have been sealed along the outside. Alternating with a few small, playfully positioned window openings, JUMA strategically designed large arched black wrought iron windows that are so typical of this style.

In addition, the extension in which the kitchen was originally demolished to make way for a new volume in wood, in which the fitness was housed. This new volume has been opened up to the beautiful wooden ridge, creating a spacious feeling on a relatively small surface.
