In a new construction plan in Middelbeers, Spanjers Architect designed this modern barn house. This architecture of this house is clear because of its very distinct main form, consisting of a volume of white painted brickwork with a dark plinth, capped with an overhanging roof. At the front, the home has a modest appearance with modern colors and accents. A large white “disk” is slid around the volume at the back, creating a playful, modern and interesting overall composition. Also, through the use of large areas of glass below it in the facade, this framework determined a fine connection with the garden. The interior is striking because of a large loft “filled” with a host of hanging lamps. This creates an enormous spaciousness that gives the kitchen a grandeur of international class.
