Modern home with custom interior

Light lands first on the marble countertop, then slips across the white cabinet fronts and the timber base below. The kitchen sits in an open layout where straight lines, recessed details, and glazed openings keep the view moving from one room to the next. A custom kitchen anchors the interior, with built-in storage folded into the walls and a calm mix of white surfaces, wood, and stone.

Open rooms shaped by light and long sightlines

Large windows shape the living area and dining zone, pulling daylight deep into the plan. The open plan dining space sits close to the glazing, with a table placed beside sheer curtains and slim pendant lights overhead. From the kitchen, the eye travels past the island edge to the dining room and further into the living area, where the ceiling stays clean and the floor treatment continues without interruption. The result is a room sequence that feels measured rather than forced.

In the modern living room, the fireplace makes a clear pause in the plan. Brick surrounds the firebox, while a pale stone mantel lifts the opening away from the darker wall behind it. Nearby, the piano and low seating give the room a lived-in layer without disturbing the straight geometry of the built-ins. Light from the tall windows softens the edges of the hearth and the surrounding surfaces, which keeps the room visually open even when it gathers around the fire.

Custom kitchen with marble and timber

The custom kitchen combines a marble countertop with white cabinetry and warm wood at the lower level. The sink area is set into the stone, leaving a broad working surface around it, while the cabinetry runs in long, even bands that keep handles and joints discreet. A second view shows the same language repeated in a wider composition: wood fronts, pale panels, and a compact ceiling build-up that brings the kitchen into a more precise frame. Nothing is overdrawn, and the materials do the work.

Details that stay visible at close range

Close-ups reveal how the joinery is handled. A dark handle line cuts across the front of a cabinet, and the corner between two timber sections is kept tight and plain. Another image shows a marble worktop meeting the sink zone, with the edge of the stone reading almost like a line in the room. These small transitions matter because they keep the custom cabinetry from feeling heavy. Instead, the surfaces appear edited down to the minimum needed for daily use.

Above the kitchen, the lighting stays restrained. Recessed spots and cylindrical fittings mark the ceiling without breaking the flat white plane. Their placement helps separate the cooking area from the dining room while keeping the overall volume open. The light catches the polished stone, the painted wood, and the pale wall surfaces differently, so the kitchen reads as a set of layers rather than one uniform block.

Dining space, built-in seating, and room to linger

The dining area extends the kitchen materials into a softer setting. A table stands beside the large windows, framed by white curtains and a series of small light points overhead. In one view, built-in seating wraps a niche along the wall, turning the edge of the room into a place to sit rather than a dead corner. The oak-toned wood repeats here in thinner lines, linking the open plan dining area back to the cabinet work in the kitchen.

A wider sightline reinforces how the rooms connect. The kitchen island-like volume sits in the foreground, then the eye passes through glass and open framing toward the dining table. High ceilings add breathing room above the furniture, but the project never relies on height alone. The partitions, openings, and furniture placement all shape where the rooms open up and where they settle down.

Wine cellar and storage hidden in plain view

Deeper in the house, the wine cellar shifts the tone. Wooden racks form an open grid, with bottles placed in a way that leaves the structure legible rather than crowded. The shelves are lit from within, so the bottles catch small points of light against the darker recesses. It is a compact room, but the repeating timber compartments give it a steady rhythm and keep the collection visible from the first glance.

The same attention to storage appears elsewhere in the home. Built-in storage lines the hallway and staircase zone, where a glass partition marks the transition without closing it off. The stair landing reads as a passage and a display surface at once: one side holds cabinets, the other side stays open to light. This is where the project becomes most architectural, because the fixed elements define circulation just as much as they store objects.

Hallway, staircase, and a quiet utility zone

The utility room continues that practical line of thinking. White custom cabinetry surrounds the washing area, with a sink and appliance niche set into the composition. The ceiling spots keep the room bright enough for routine tasks, but the palette stays close to the rest of the house: white fronts, pale surfaces, and small dark hardware points. Nothing is treated as a separate service space; the room follows the same visual discipline as the kitchen and hall.

Across the plan, the recurring elements are easy to trace: marble, brick, timber, glass, and built-in volumes. They appear in different proportions from room to room, yet the project never depends on ornament to hold the composition together. The custom kitchen leads the sequence, but the living room, dining space, wine cellar, and hall all carry the same clear lines and measured detailing. What remains is a house that reads through surfaces, light, and the way one room opens into the next.
