A strip pattern that changes with distance

Up close, the alternating strip layout is the main event. The horizontal joints lengthen the walls, while the vertical strips interrupt the run and keep the surface from becoming monotone. In that setting, the villa reads as a house that opens outward without losing its form. The exterior space is not treated as decoration. It is a room with a floor, a boundary, and a view.

Night light under the overhang

As evening falls, the overhang becomes one of the most visible elements. Warm lighting picks out the underside and makes the upper level hover above the darker garden. The effect is restrained but exact: the brick remains visible, the glazing still reflects the surroundings, and the lit gallery gives the house a second life after dark. The dark metal railings and gate stay legible too, turning into graphic lines rather than heavy objects.

That night mood also confirms the project’s main idea. The house is not trying to stand apart from the trees. It uses beige brick, clear geometry, and carefully placed openings to stay close to the site.
