ARCAS Architect is an architecture and urban planning studio based in Knokke-Heist, Paris and Gdansk.

With more than 30 years of experience in architecture and urban planning, and over 1,000 projects completed, Arcas Architect has built up extensive expertise in residential real estate projects and master planning. Arcas Architect is a partner in developing strategies within specific social, climatic and cultural contexts, combining urban planning and architecture.

We deliver solutions for new neighbourhoods and buildings in urban, suburban and rural settings, and take a design-led approach to the complex challenges involved in creating vibrant communities.

Our projects range from apartment towers and single-family homes to beach resorts, care centres, district planning and mixed-use developments. They cover a wide variety of scales and complex urban issues.

ARCAS believes that a thorough understanding of a region’s history and climate is essential to conceptualising architecture that responds optimally to its setting. We encourage lively streets through architectural and stylistic variation, and by planning for a healthy mix of functions.

Designs take into account the importance of urban neighbourhoods at street level and the need to build polycentric centres. A non-dogmatic design approach aims to create places and environments with benefits that extend beyond the design outline and project brief.
