The garden uses height differences rather than hiding them, and that choice gives the whole composition a strong spatial rhythm. Water as the main line through the garden

The first impression comes from the water surfaces. A high, narrow basin rises from the planting and reads almost like a straight line cut into the garden. Nearby, the waterwall sends water downward in a steady sheet, bringing movement to an otherwise controlled composition. Mosaic detailing appears around the edges and in the cladding of the water elements, which catches the light without taking over the scene. The result is a garden that uses water not as decoration alone, but as a way to structure the view.

Elsewhere, the biologically cleaned swimming pool and the jacuzzi introduce a different tempo. One surface reflects the sky, another breaks it with soft ripples. The covered jacuzzi sits within the broader outdoor wellness area, where the materials shift toward more enclosed and sheltered use. Seen together, these elements turn the garden into a sequence of pauses: walk, look, sit, then look again.

Inside and outside stay visually connected

Glass sliding panels make the transition between home and garden readable at a glance. They frame the terrace and the planting beyond it, so the eye never stops at the threshold. From several angles, the outdoor space feels tied to the interior through long sightlines rather than through added ornament. That is especially visible when the view passes from a sitting area toward the side garden, where the water, the planting and the level changes line up in one clear route.

The connection works because the garden is composed in layers. Low steps, broad terrace plates and raised edges create a sequence that can be read from both inside and outside. In the overcovered lounge area, the glazed enclosure keeps the view open while heaters and a custom fire table in the garden wall support use of the space when the air turns colder. The outdoor kitchen sits in the same setting, so the terrace reads as a practical extension of the living area rather than a separate corner.

Covered outdoor living with a direct view of the side garden

The covered terrace is one of the strongest vantage points in the project. From here, the side garden opens up with a sharp contrast between the straight waterline and the looser planting around it. A lamella roof shapes the upper edge of the lounge, while the glass sliding panels keep the space visually open. Furniture stays low, letting the built-in elements do the work: the fire table, the heaters and the outdoor kitchen all sit within easy reach of the seating area.

Behind the water, the composition becomes more sculptural. Large pots stand in a measured rhythm, and bronze decorative columns add a vertical accent without breaking the calm of the setting. The eye moves from the terrace to the water, then to the planted backdrop, and back again. That repeated movement is what makes the view memorable: there is always another layer waiting just beyond the first one.

Terraces and steps as part of the composition

The terraces and steps are not treated as background. Wide treads, straight edges and low height differences give the garden a firm structure, especially where the route rises or turns. Light is tucked into the edges so the surfaces remain legible after dark. The result is a garden that feels carefully plotted by level, not by decoration. Even the broad platform around the water keeps the focus on proportion and alignment.

Lush white planting softens the geometry

Against all the straight lines, the planting moves differently. White flowering shrubs and multi-stemmed trees soften the edges of the walls and the water. The choice to stay within one flower color keeps the planting scheme restrained, yet the forms themselves are varied: some branches rise loosely, others hold a denser canopy, and that variation keeps the scene from becoming rigid. The white palette also links the planted areas to the pale walls and stone surfaces around them.

Multi-stemmed pines echo the dune setting in a subtle way, while three white-flowering rhododendrons interrupt the strict geometry in the back garden. Their irregular shapes are useful here. They break up the hard lines of the paving and the water features without competing with them. Seen across the seasons, the planting keeps offering small shifts in tone and texture, especially where greenery meets the reflective water.

Mosaic, stone and dark screening

Material contrasts are part of the appeal of this luxury design garden with water features. Pale stone paving, mosaic finishes and dark screening panels each play a different role. The stone sets the ground plane. The mosaic catches light around the water. The dark panels push the planting forward and create depth behind it. None of these materials dominates. Instead, they sharpen the view of the next one in line.

Large round planters and tree forms reinforce that layered feeling. They stand beside the terraces and along the walls, where their curves soften the strict rectangles of the paving. On the stairs, the repeated steps create a steady rise toward the upper areas, while the built-in lighting picks out the edges without turning the garden into a display. It is a landscape built from exact lines, but it never feels flat.

A garden built around places to look from

The project gains much of its character from its viewpoints. From the first-floor seating area, the side garden becomes a framed scene, with the raised water element leading the composition. From the covered deck terrace, the sightline shifts closer to the lounge and outdoor kitchen. From the home itself, the garden reads as a chain of reflections, edges and planted layers. Each point of view reveals a different part of the same order.

That is why the project stays memorable even in still images. The garden does not rely on one gesture. It uses waterwalls, a covered jacuzzi, glass sliding panels, terraces and steps, and lush white planting to guide the eye through a controlled sequence. The geometry gives the space clarity; the planting and water keep it alive. Together they make a luxury design garden with water features that is best understood by moving through it, or by looking across it from one level to another.
