A lifelong passion for nature
The love for nature has been in my blood since my childhood. The world of plants and flowers inspired me, and I enjoyed digging through the soil with my hands. My (grand)parents, passionate gardeners, were my example. As early as primary school, I dreamed of becoming a garden architect. This allowed me to combine my passion for nature with my desire to give it shape.
A solid foundation in practice
To make my dream come true, I followed a horticultural training course. I gained practical knowledge during internships and holiday work at Munter Tuinprojecten. This intensive experience left me wanting more. After this training, I continued my studies at the university of applied sciences Van Hall Larenstein, where I studied garden and landscape architecture. During my studies, I worked together with renowned garden designers and landscape architects.
From experience to entrepreneurship
After my studies, I started working at Munter Tuinprojecten as a garden designer and project manager. This many years of experience proved to be a perfect stepping stone to starting my own business. Now I, Peter van der Velden, design gardens in which nature and design come together seamlessly. My goal is to create a unique outdoor space for you with great experiential value in all seasons.
Harmony between nature and design
My projects are characterised by a balanced mix of botanical knowledge and passion for planting. I strive for harmony between nature and design, with the garden always perfectly matching your lifestyle, architecture and surroundings. See it as a symphony in which nature and design reinforce each other, with your garden as the connecting link between indoors and outdoors.
A tailor-made garden
Whether it concerns small city gardens, large country gardens or public outdoor spaces, you are in good hands with me, Peter van der Velden. Together, we translate your wishes into an aesthetic design that is practical and sustainable at the same time. The result is a lively garden that you can enjoy in all seasons – a place where people, plants and animals come together.
