Renovation of a villa garden
One big field bouquet, is how the resident describes his garden after some clever interventions that resulted in a colorful palette. The original assignment? Renew the existing border planting because it was not visually appealing. I advised the residents to do the renovation more thoroughly. So as to also tinker with the lines of the borders.
Seamless transition to environment
The appearance of the house and the landscape character of the surroundings were important starting points. For example, I removed existing trees and groves that obstructed the expansive view. To further strengthen the relationship with the landscape, I applied planting types that almost naturally flow into it. From swaying grasses to colorful flowering perennials.
Four seasons surprisingly beautiful
A year-round garden needs a strong structure to ensure an engaging picture at all times. The beeches pruned in cylindrical form spread warm brown hues in autumn and winter. Evergreen bulbs on the lawn and borders provide a playful note. To balance the proportions of calm and rhythm, I integrated rolling strips of ornamental grasses. Those interspersed with a grass path alternate the lush borders with perennials.
The new garden is a harmonious overall picture with a strong “skeleton” of diverse greenery, an exuberant injection of color and imaginative vistas.
