Architecture BRIO designs homes that feel like a second skin — bespoke, refined in detail, and shaped around the lives of our clients. With deep roots in both the Netherlands and India, we combine craftsmanship and vision with an open, personal approach. Our studio grew out of a shared fascination with the sensitive architecture of Geoffrey Bawa in Sri Lanka, where we learned how strength and subtlety can come together.

Whether it is a house in the landscape or an urban townhouse, we approach every project as a unique search. Not only for form and function, but also for meaning. Through close collaboration with our clients, we create architecture that does not shout, but speaks — distinctive, contextual, and sustainable.

Architecture BRIO operates from Rotterdam and Mumbai and is led by Robert Verrijt and Shefali Balwani. Together with our multidisciplinary team, we design homes that are not only beautiful, but also contribute to a thoughtful relationship between people, nature, and space.
